  • Once in a While

Mornings can be so hectic at our house.

But once in a while the chores are done, Dan hasn’t come by for the ride to school yet, and things look like this:

And my heart aches with happiness.

(I NEED  to change the settings on my camera because I don’t like this yellow look, but I’m not sure how to.)

This morning I bundled the littlest  up tight and they went to visit the neighbors across the field.  This is the first time they have walked that way alone.

And we see lovely sunsets almost every night, but once in a while I take a picture of them.

And once in a very great while the house is quiet for an hour.

I shall clean the fridge, bake some carrot muffins, and keep the laundry going.

I wish you a dazzlingly beautiful Thursday, bathed in peace & joy.  May an extra special once-in-a-while be your experience today.

  • Oh, I just LOVE those once in a while moments!  They are a mom’s fortitude. :)  I can almost feel the wistful pride as you watched those little ones tramp across the field!

  • precious moments for sure! love! the sunset!

  • i like what you’ve called ‘em! once in a whiles. i can think of some in my day, now that you’ve directed my attention! :)

  • cute little threesome!

the yellow tinge might be your picture setting..
there might be one called landscape or a setting for shade??
it gives my shots a very orangey/yellow tone.

i don’t think it looks bad in your picture at all..
but if you have the manual, it should tell you how to change the “picture style/ setting.”

    :)

  • @grace_to_be - Thanks, Amber.  I know I need to get out the manual.  Actually it’s computer one and it makes me cross.  I just have a little canon powershot and it has pages and pages of jargon to wade through.  I must discipline myself and do it someday.
